About the Speaker

Virginia “Gigie” V. Penalosa has served Soroptimist in different capacities from being

Club President of SI Mandaluyong, Program Pillar Chair, District Director, SIA Federation Director and Secretary-Treasurer, and appointed as SI Director in 2018.  Prior to her election as Governor-Elect for this Biennium, she was the Chairperson of our Region’s Soroptimist Orientation & Leadership Training Committee for Biennium 2018-2020.  

 

She was a Soroptimist delegate to the meetings of the Commission on the Status of Women in the United Nations from 2014 to 2018.

 

Gigie manages their family corporations as President of VCP Trading International Corp., Executive Vice President of Westco Electrical & Equipment Corp. and Vice President & Treasurer of PAMAV Training Institute and Technology Center.

 

She finds great fulfillment in being a Soroptimist as it has always been her personal advocacy for women to be empowered and have equal opportunities.
