Soroptimist International of Lipa

Chartered: September 22, 2017

Soroptimist International of Lipa was established on September 17, 2017 in Lipa City under the MariVerde District of SIAPR Region. Bernadine Go is the founding president, serving for three years from September 2017 to June 2020. Charter President Bernardine Go is known for her dedication and compassion in serving women. She is an exemplary leader and is advocating for women empowerment through education and livelihood. She continues to devote her time, skills, and resources to the club, setting an example as a servant leader. Under her guidance, the club excelled in supporting women through impactful projects. Soroptimist International of Batangas Premiere, led by President Felie Go, served as the guiding force as a mother club for Soroptimist International of Lipa. Initially comprising 17 members from diverse professions, the club's composition includes entrepreneurs, doctors, bankers, engineers, architects, contractors, lawyers, nurses, and educators. Following CP Bernardine Go, Past President Romena Jane “Adjie” Tan took the helm during the challenging pandemic year 2020-2022, overseeing projects that earned

SI Lipa several accolades for their resilience in supporting women and girls despite the pandemic challenges.

The current and third President is Elisa P. Hiwatig serving under the biennium year 2022-2024. She is a chartered officer and member of the club since 2017. She is a CEO in a design and construction firm and a Finance and Accounting Executive. Her advocacy for education, women, and technology is reflected in the club's flagship project, sISKO (Soroptimist International of Lipa ISKOLARS), which sponsors Soroptimist International of Lipa College Sports Scholars in line with the Biennium Thrust A.T.E (Access To Education). President Elisa Hiwatig paved the way for continuous and advance learning in the local community of women and girls thru partnership with Department of Information Communications and Technology. The club implemented a unique and first of its kind projects in education technology training such as Women in AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Women in E-commerce.

​The club is committed in implementing identifying projects of Soroptimist worldwide such as Dream It, Be It - Career Support for Girls,  Live Your Dream Awards (LYDA), Access to Education (A.T.E) and other women and girls empowerment projects.


Our club's motto embodies the belief that women and girls possess limitless possibilities.

Soroptimist International of Lipa's mission is to spread messages of hope and compassion through Soroptimist's identifying projects like Dream It Be It (DIBI) Career Support for Girls, Live Your Dream Awards (LYDA), and Access To Education (A.T.E) for women and girls. We firmly believe that individual actions can create community impact, while collective efforts can bring about global change. By advocating for Education, Technology, Sports, and other livelihood projects, we are nurturing the next generation of Female Leaders in our community.
