It is with great pleasure and pride to announce the election of SIAPR Immediate Past Governor Gabrielle "Billie" Calizo-Quimpo as Federation Director, representing the Philippines Region in
the SIA Board. She will be starting her term starting September 1, 2023 to August 31, 2025.

Metro Manila, Philippines, Resident Joins as Director of Global Women’s Volunteer Organization

PHILADELPHIA, Pa., — Mildred Piad of Metro Manila, Philippines, is serving a two-year term on the Board of Directors for Soroptimist International of the Americas, Inc.® (SIA), a global women’s volunteer organization that provides women and girls with access to the education and training they need to achieve economic empowerment. This year marks the organization’s 100th anniversary.
As a board member, Piad will participate in strategic planning and program development to increase the organization’s collective impact in helping women and girls to reach their full potential.
Piad is a member of Soroptimist International of Lucena, one of 1,200 Soroptimist clubs throughout the world. A member since 1973, Piad has held several leadership positions, including district director and club president.
Piad is a self-employed real estate developer. She holds a doctorate degree, Master of Science in organizational development and a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Maryknoll College. In addition to her Soroptimist involvement, she is a member of Zonta and the Inner Wheel Club of Manila.
